We would not be able to travel very easily to all of the places we can now and everyone would be walking.
If the engine was void of any oil it would seize in the matter of minutes and yes the car would not work.
If you have put the log book in your name then the car is yours so if any damage would happen you would have to pay.

Car carriers are used to transport items that would not fit inside your car. They attach to your cars roof and are used to transport things like bikes, luggage, or camping equipment.
Who contracted with the transport company? If the dealer arranged transportation then they are the ones who need to handle. If you arranged the transport then you would be the one. If you arranged transport and went through a broker be swift in getting any and all information about the transport company you can including their DOT and MC number. Also have the broker send you the certificate of liability for the transport company that damaged the car. This will have all their insurance information including cargo coverage. Be careful brokers have a funny way of getting out of middle when there is a problem. Best of luck to you.

You will be cited for not having a license and people would bill you for any damage you caused.

You will need to contact Matson to transport your car via container over sees, and than a regular auto shipper to pickup your car from the port, and transport it directly to your home. There are companies out there that will arrange the entire transport, but it will cost more than if you would to arrange the shipment yourself.
I have not been able to find any services that transport cars via train, but there are a number of auto transport services that will transport your car anywhere in the country. These companies load your car onto either a flatbed or semi truck to transport it. Several of these services are available in both New Jersey and Florida.
