Human beings can survive without hair, as indeed some bald humans already do. If everyone was bald, the loss would be mainly aesthetic. People's heads would be less varied in appearance, and in some cases not as attractive. There is also a tremendous industry of hair care, including barbers and aestheticians, and the people who make and sell shampoo, combs and hairbrushes, hair dye, hair curlers, hair straighteners, hair remover, and so forth. So if everyone suddenly lost all their hair, there would be a large economic impact. But we would get used to it.
