The engines would seize up and we all would be walking.
The engine would see, because the metal pistons inside the metal cylinders would be metal to metal contact, and it would cause them to fuse together.
oil leak, worn rings burning oil if only a quart or two between oil changes not too much to worrie about on some engines but would have checked out.
It might damage the engine because it might be to viscous. You need to check the manual for compatibility. Some engines allow refill with more viscous oil.
Nothing will happen. You can do that if your wish with small air cooled engines.
i am guessing the same thing that happened to the woman who injected oil into herself because she thought it would give her better skin....this didnt work. she WAS beautiful....DONT DO IT!! :P
Sometimes this will happen because the new oil is thicker than the old oil. In most engines this is true.

Because Engines are a greasy thing....Fart Knocker.
Oil for 4 cycle engines are given a rating that is a two letter code beginning with an "S" and followed by another letter that is a code for the additive package in the oil. I would not consider anything below an SF rating and would suggest an SH rating as a minimum. It may have a C raitng as well which applies to diesel engines. Generally an oil for 4 cycle engines is just that and is suited for all engines regardless of the application if the additives are correct.
