What are three ways in which the atmosphere is important to life on earth?

Atmosphere is very important for survival of human race on this earth. Without it not even a single living creature would be able to live on this planet. The three main importances of atmosphere are: 1) The atmosphere has all the vital gases which humans, animals and plants breathe. Humans and animals require oxygen, plants need carbon dioxide, some bituminous plants require nitrogen thus acting as a perfect composition of everything according to the needs. 2) the atmosphere has very high density because of which the small rock particles when coming in the earth's atmosphere explode into small pieces and thus are destroyed before reaching the surface. Without the atmosphere there would be constant collisions of such particles on the surface. 3)The Atmosphere consists of a layer called ozone layer which protects us from the harmful ultraviolet rays of the sun. These ultra violet rays are very harmful for all living organisms. It allows IR rays to pass thus maintaining the temperature of earth suitable for the life of all living being. There are many more uses of this wonderful blanket of air but the questions demands only three of them so no choice to give more options right now.
