It gets bigger because as it gets higher, the density of the atmosphere will rise when the density inside the balloon stays the same. Then because of pressure, it will get bigger and eventually pop.

A gas occupies a 16-liter balloon under a pressure of 1.2 ATM. What would the new volume of the balloon be if the pressure were increased to 3.6 ATM?

5.3 liters

What would happen to the volume of a gas in a closed system if pressure increased?

The volume shrinks.

What would happen to pressure if you removed some of the gas particles from the balloon?

If temperature and volume is fixed, pressure reduces.

If the temperature remains constant what will happen to the pressure of a gas if you decrease the volume of the container that holds the gas Explain?

The pressure of the gas would rise. Explain? OK, Blow up a balloon and tie the end. Decrease volume of the container (step on balloon). Balloon explodes (Pressure rose)

Which changes results in an increase in gas pressure in a balloon?

If the volume of gas in the balloon remains constant, then an increase in temperature would result in an increased gas pressure in a balloon. That result can be achieved in three ways:1). Pump more gas into the balloon.or2). Heat the balloon.or3). Surround the balloon completely with something and squish it down into a smaller volume. The volume is increased.

What will happen to a balloon's volume if its heated?

The kinetic energy of the particles inside the balloon increase. This then expands the volume of the balloon.

What would happen to a balloon full of air if you moved it from above a water surface to ten feet below the water surface?

The volume of the balloon would decrease. The pressure of the water would press inward on the balloon and cause it to shrink in volume.
