Sounds like the thermal relay is defective.
They all work the same way they direct on coming air up into the radiator for cooling
whys smoke coming from oil pan in a 1994 oldsmobile royale
Facing the front of the car, the water pump is on the left front of the engine. It is to the right of the battery. You can trace the hoses coming out of it if you lift the wiring harness.
Noise coming from engine in Oldsmobile Cutlass could be as a result of an oil leak in the rear of your engine. This makes the gears to wear off leading to severe knocking noise.
my battery light keeps coming on why is that, ive replace the battery and it still happening please help?
Run out of battery.
Breather tube to allow gasses to escape from the battery
You need to switch the red wire with the yellow wire and it will not lose the memory any more. One wire is coming from the ignition and the other from the battery directly.
is the rotten egg smell coming from the exhaust or from the battery if from exhaust, nothin you can do about it if it is from the battery, the battery is overcharching you need to have battery, alternater and regulator checked. if the battery keeps overcharging it can explode, also the gas given off from battery is extremely explosive and if ignited can burn ya car to nuthin As the above answer states make sure it is not coming from the battery. If it is coming from the exhaust, this is not normal and there is a problem. There is something you can do about it. Possible problems and fixes. # There is a problem with your electronic engine control system: Scan injection and emission control system for Diagnostic Trouble codes. Replace or repair as required. # The ignition timing may be set wrong: Check and adjust ignition timing. # Your fuel pressure regulator is bad: Replace the fuel pressure regulator. # The engine may have mechanical problems: Check vacuum lines and fittings for leaks. Check engine compression. Check for broken fittings and mounts. # The engine is running too hot: Check cooling system, thermostat and cooling fans for proper operation.
Check the relays and fuses.
if it is a big power wire ( same size as the battery cable ) then it is the earth wire you should find that the battery has one wire going directly on to the engine or chassis there are different arangements the negative wire could be coming directly to the starter and if this is the case then the wire is just earthing the engine but in a lot of cases the starter is getting its ground from the engine and the engine gets its ground from the battery
it is not connected to a "switch," but a relay instead....it should be grounded to the core support next to the fan.....you may need to remove the passenger side headlight to get to it.....there is normally 1 or 2 wires coming from it....12V and switch signal from ECU (0V = off and 5V = on). To test the fan: disconnect the relay and connect directly to battery. To test relay: use external battery source like 3 AA in series. If you have no clue what I am talking about, then do not attempt this and seek professional help.
