There are multiple reasons why a 1999 Toyota Avalon may lose power and skip when it is given gas. There may be a bad spark plug or even a fuel problem. A licensed mechanic can diagnose any problem that it may have.
Your best bet would to take it to the Automobile store.
The approximate cost of replacing an alternator on a 1996 Toyota Avalon depends on whether you do it yourself or have a shop replace it. The alternator costs around $125 and it would take about two hours of labor for a total of approximately $300 if a shop did it.
HEY BEEVIS....NOTHING will work after you disconnect the battery......DUHHHHH !!!!!
try using a higher grade of gasolineif that dosent work takeit in to have your timing checked.
Most likely not. RWD braking components are unlikely to swap with FWD ones, as there are some differences in their dimensions to accommodate the driveline equipment.
call Toyota customer service they will send you a new one. It would cost a pretty penny though. If you have not lost it and its just not working trying changing the battery in the smart key (it costs about 4.95 at a Toyota dealer.
There are many things that can cause vibrations in a 2000 Toyota Avalon. One such cause could be a bent rim and another cause for the vibrations underneath the floorboard is the engine.
I have researched online, and i cannot find an exact maintenance schedule for your vehicle. My recommendation for you would be to call a Toyota dealership near you, and i am sure they can print one out or inform you of what is required at your current mileage.
I've seen on with 20 inch rims but I would recommend it. I have 18's with low profile Pirelli tires.
== Rear Power Windows Only Work On and Off== Sounds like a precursor to either a switch failure or window controller failure. I had a Nissan that started out like that ....intermittent until finally all four window controllers became inoperative one at a time.
I also would get the O2 sensor socket. It will make it much easier to get them off. It's worth the $10 or so. I change both of mine out in under an hour.
I would assume it has something to do with your power steering.
