rod bearings, pistons locked...thrown rod...could be a million things...best bet is to take it out and check the crankshaft and rods make sure nothing broke
your driving a Chevy Monte Carlo and your petrols been robbed
startet has nothing to do with it, but just put the crank on TDC and line up the distributor to #1
take off the serpentine belt and crank pulley and you will need a harmonic balancer pulley to get it off.
The crankshaft position sensor for the 1995 Monte Carlo is located on the front of the engine. It is just to the right of where the crankshaft comes out of the engine.
The 1985 Monte Carlo has four motor mounts. There are two motor mounts on top, a mount on the lower engine by the crank pullet and a transmission mount located on the lower left.
whats wrong my starter wire caaame off how do i put it back on
Take your Chevy Monte Carlo and push it off a large hill. I have a 1995 z34 3.4 V6, it has been having the problem where it will just crank and crank and crank. It does not turn over for some reason. Also when driving, it will cut-out, and sometimes lose power. So far I have replaced plugs and wires... no help. This weekend I guess I'm going to replace fuel pump, fuel regulator, and fuel filter. Will let you know if this fixes the problem. Just a hint though... if you have one of these cars, get it running ok and SELL!!!! GET RID OF IT... YOU'LL ONLY CONTINUE TO PUT MONEY INTO ONCE IT'S HIT 110K MILES. GOOD LUCK
First check crank sensor again. A terminal gets bent sometimes during installation. Look at it good with a light. Then, VATS module, under dash, left of steering collumn, velcrowed in.
In a 1996 Chevy Monte Carlo, the crankshaft position sensor is typically located near the bottom of the engine block, close to the crankshaft itself. To locate it, you will need to access the underside of the vehicle and look for a sensor mounted on or near the crankshaft pulley. It may be necessary to remove some components or shields to access the sensor properly. Refer to the vehicle's service manual for specific instructions and diagrams.
my 96 Monte Carlo did that and it ended up being the chip on the key went bad and it was the switch shutting the fuel pump down for security reasons. call a locksmith....i did
you only have one it is on the crank and the block line those two up then read the manual
no it wont differant sensors locations and 3.1l dont have crank sensor on the back of the block
