a firecracker
what would cause a knockings noise in my boat 3560- 2004 transmission when in idle goes away when you give it gas
No it will not. It only controlls the idle of the engine.
Bad spark plugs can indeed cause an engine to idle rough. If any of the spark plugs are misfiring or are not producing enough of a spark to ignite the fuel, then not only will the engine idle roughly, it will alwso waste gas. If may seem as though it is running fine when you are driving however, you still may be wasting gas and your pickup may not be as fast as it should.
Becaue if it didn't idle, then it would not be running.
Check your power steering fluid
Sorry, disregard this question, I didn't word it properly.
A fouled spark plug or a loose spark plug wire can cause a rough idle and a loss of horsepower. It can also be caused by a dirty air filter.
have the Fuel injectors checked out.
Doubtful. Bad spark plugs would give you a rough idle, hesitation and poor performance. And they may also give you a P0300 code for random misfire.
There are several things that can cause your 2002 Kia to idle rough. The most common cause will be bad spark plugs or a bad spark plug wire.
No, an engine idle RPM being not zero is not a problem. If the idle were zero, the engine would not be running!
A clogged fuel filter can cause a Mitsubishi Galant to idle rough for the first 10 minutes it is running and then it runs fine after that. A fouled spark plug can also cause this issue.
