they either went to work or went back to there house if there house was not there they went to live with friends or family

Poor families were given Anderson shelters by the Govornment for free. However if a member of your family worked and got paid £5 or more they had to buy an Anderson shelter for £7.
they got shelter from their tents
It was very frightening and emotional thinking about who hadn't got to a shelter in time . . .
"Does Joe Anderson have a girlfriend?" or "Has Joe Anderson got a girlfriend?" gosh! And no, he doesn't.
children had to be evacuataed and people had to hide in Anderson shelters :) people died and got blown apart!!
It disrupted their lives completely. Most people had a shelter to go to - either one of their own constructed in a basement, or they went to shelter in the Underground stations. Of course, not everybody got to a shelter in time, and thousands of people died and many house in the East End were completely destroyed.
People who got less than £5 per week got one for free and the government built it for them. People who got over or £5 per week had to buy one from the government for £7. They were made out of concrete, corogated metal, sand bags and soil. they were ussaly under ground.
Maybe, but it depends on where you are. When the atomic bomb was dropped in Japan 800;000 people died in an instant. If they were in a bomb shelter they probably wouldn't have lived. The heat would have cooked them like it did in Pompeii. It got so hot in Japan that water boiled instantly and shoes burned off people's feet.
Tom Anderson is not dead. What happened was a famous golfer was found shot to death, his name was Tom Anderson. So when certain people got ahold of this information they thought it was the myspace inventor who died.
Bonnie Anderson was born in 1995.
