I used to be the one who would do this, and I used to feel that swearing was really bad, so I would get mad whenever someone in general swears. Them, my parents would think that I am weird. Not all Christians act like this in a strict manner, some act different than others. Who knows? Some Christians flog themselves until they bleed to show sacrifice to Jesus as he did when he was on the cross.
