Is it an IBM Thinkpad t40 series? If so it is likely a loose GPU chip. ATI used an inferior BGA solder on them so they all come loose over time. Companies like superior reball may be able to repair it for around $50, otherwise get a new motherboard.

Closing the factories down would definitely do that.

There isn't much a person can do to stop the stinky smell of exhaust from the muffler. This smell, sometimes like sulphur or rotten eggs, is a by-product of the fuels burned.
You stop at railway tracks and look to see a train so you dont get hit by it crossing. Sometimes music or the engine may be to loud to hear a train coming, always stop and look if there are no lights or gates.
