If your meaning medium in height and you would like a pony not a horse I would recommend the Pony of America, Dartmoor, Connemara, Welsh and Hackney. They are all well-suited in size for medium heighted riders. If you are looking to buy an equine friend and you are medium sized I would strongly recommend a horse though because they are bigger and you won't grow out of them very quickly. I own quite a few quarter horses and they are a very easy going breed.

However, it is best to consult with a riding instructor or equine professional to determine the most suitable size based on the specific needs of the rider and pony.
