I believe the conflict is that most people do not want to be seen going into a thrift store by their neighbors or friends. With the economy the way that it is, now is the time to go to thrift shops where there are some clothes that still have price tags on them or clothes that have never been worn at all. Thrift stores have been tagged as "Junk Stores". Even though there are a lot of thriftters, many people do not want to go into an unorganized store with a bad smell. I have been to some thrift stores that I will not got back to because of the smell and the employees are rude and unappreciative of their customers. There is one particular store that I go to that smells good and the employees are friendly and helpful. The place is also organized and the clothes are color coordinated.
