Unless he is your great uncle because he married a sister of one of your grandparents. Then his mother is not related to you.
Correction:Your great uncle is of the same generation as your great grandparents, therefore he is a sibling of one of your great grandparents. His mother would be your great great grandmother. That is, unless the second portion of the above reply applies (but he would have married a sister of one of your great granparents instead of your grandparents).Wiki User
