U can separate salt and iron filings from each other by using a bigger magnet . There are other ways too . You can also put both of the mixture in a cup of water and watch as the salt evaporate or disappear . But the iron filings will come to the top . Or spreading the mixture on a table and using a magnet to separate them .
No
No a compass rose is on a map showing all of the Carnal Directions (north South East west) and a Compass is navigational device used to find your direction by using the earths magnetic poles
It is a device for determining aircraft direction using the magnetic field of the earth. See link to Earth inductor compass
Dome, Modified Dome, Cabin, and A-Frame.
by using compass.
You can detect the presence of a magnetic field using a compass, which will align itself with the field lines. Other devices such as magnetometers can also detect and measure magnetic fields accurately. Additionally, certain materials, such as iron filings, can visualize magnetic field patterns when sprinkled around the area.
Yes. I can be done using iron filings and a clear piece of plastic. Pour on the iron filings, put on the plastic, and then the magnet. The iron filings should form the shape of the magnetic field around it. If that does not work, here is a link to a picture... http://www.fi.edu/htlc/teachers/lettieri/magneticfields.jpg Hope that helps.
True
Lensatic Compass is a kind of compass which uses a magnetized dial, a lensatic compass features a special card which helps the users in reading the directions easily. A Lensatic Compass is very useful device because it has numbers which are useful in identifying the directions of target objects. The use of Lensatic Compass involves difficulties in using it.It is important to learn how to use a lensatic compass properly prior to using it, also other materials like a map and a protractor are also needed when using the compass.
If they are iron filings, you can use the property of magnetism to remove the iron filings using a magnet. You will need to rinse the iron filings with water after you remove them with the magnet in order to completely remove the sawdust from them.
by using a ruler and a compass
separate iron filings AND ash from water by filtration or evaporation then, if required, separate iron filings from ash by using a magnetic field,
A magnet
When you are using a compass you are navigating to a certain point. So it could be navigation.
Get a decent size magnet. Get some iron filaments and sprinkle the iron filaments around the magnet. You will see the magnetic field of the magnet from the iron filaments lining up from each pole and curving outwards.
on a compass it caused the compass to point to the magnet instead of magnetic north, I think that South will point to the magnet (if I remember correctly) You can get around this by using our patent which allows a magnetic radio speaker in a radio direction finder to sit directly next to a compass - by aligning the radio speaker to sit directly south of the compass it does not effect the accuracy.
