Why did Yashamaru attack Gaara?
The truth is he hated Gaara because Gaara's sealing process with the Shukaku made Yashamaru's older sister Karura die. When Gaara's own father (Fourth Kazekage) asked Yashamaru to kill Gaara, Yashamaru accepted to avenge his sister. His assasination failed, and costed him his life. (Yashamaru used paper bombs wrapped around his body and Gaara survived using his sand.) Yashamaru told Gaara right before his death to please die. Because of this experience, Gaara became more of an emotional wreck and would kill anyone to prove his existence. He got over this after Naruto defeated him since Naruto had experienced the very same pain Gaara experienced through life.

Alot of people have said that Gaara likes Matsuri or Sari or Sakura, but they are all FAKEE!! Gaara does not *like* anyone in that way. Sure hes been liked but he does not like anyone. Alot of people hate Matsuri and I agree with them. I think Its stupid for her to like Gaara because I bet you if she knew him in the chunin exam she would probably scream and run away. Gaara is NOT the silent romantic type because he dosen't like anyone. If the creator of Naruto made gaara love or *like* or even get a girlfriend I think it would ruin Naruto. Gaara is better the way he is, thats how it shows expression with Gaara's charachter so if Gaara got a girlfriend I would and im sure alot of other people would also hate that. BUT HEY! Pein.Pein is far more powerful than Deidara was and Gaara was beaten by Deidara.Gaara was defeated by Deidara cause of his bombing in the sand village, Gaara had to block a whole COUNTRY with all his chakra to save them, that's why Gaara lost. Naruto cannot defeat all 6 pein, but 4 of them. and since Gaara is just as strong as Naruto, i think Pein will win, but it would be a really good match (i mean like a match where the whole village would be destroyed)

(Also because Gaara was seems to be unconscious when he was carried by his siblings, temari and kankuro) I think that gaara won, because the match was interupted and if naruto didnt jump in gaara would of killed sasuke because he was having trouble with his mark.

Technicially it would be Gaara(even though Gaara is not a blood sibling of Naruto's) because they went through the same hardships as childhood, understand each other completely, and because they both have the tailed beasts inside them(which might make them blood relatives).
