Above answer seems to be confused about the 1950s and the 1920s. For teen in the 1950s, girls wore knee length skirts, or "clamdigger" pants, with legs that went halfway between ankle and knee. Saddle oxford shoes were popular for girls, penny loafer for guys. Guys wore slacks or jeans, cotton shirts or Tshirts (Tshirts were WHITE and did not have pictures or writing on them!)
