In Frisco Independent School District, (and a few others) AP and honors classes are out of a 6.0, and regular classes are on a 5.0. For example, if you got a 100% in all your classes, and all your classes were AP classes, you would have a 6.0 GPA. However, if you had 90% in those same classes, you would have a 5.0 GPA, which is equivalent to having all 100% in regular/standard classes.

∙ 14y agoThere is no way to tell as stated. It depends on the number of credits assigned to each course. Typically, each course is assigned credits (1,2,3,4) and each grade is assigned quality points ( for three credit courses, A=12, B=9, C=6). You add the total number of quality points and divide that number by the total number of credits taken.

∙ 15y agoI personally never heard of a GPA over 4.0 (within the US). 4.0 = A, 3.0 = B, 2.0 = C,
1.0 = D, and 0.0 = F (Failure).
