The reason Zankou and other demons are always after the book of shadows is because it would give them not only the power it has but other information such as how to kill their enemies, get to the elders, and hurt other good magical beasts.

When will charmed season 9-20 come out?
Unfortunately, there is no movie being made, right now. Hopefully there will be one made though. Charmed and specifically, the Book of Shadows, is based on an ancient Spiritual Scripture called the Balenyata. The holy book and spiritual text of the fabled Mamalestians, a tribe of female warriors, it also serves as the basis of many Wiccan traditions around the world. I would love for a Charmed reunion movie, either in the cinema or made for TV release. The Balenyata and the Book of Shadows would both prophesize about the coming of The Charmed Ones. "unfortunately, the series finally, at the end of the eighth season, does not really give closure for many fans" according to Dr. Cindy Dydus, President and CEO of The Mamalestian American mission of Florida. Dr. Kevin Barone concurs, adding "Dr. Dudys is correct in saying that the final episode does not provide closure for alot of "Charmed" fans...The Balenyata based "book of Shadows" has much more story to tell"...
