There are several gay fiction novels. Some of the authors include: E. Annie Proulx who wrote Brokeback Mountain and Christopher Isherwood who wrote A Single Man. Both of these novels were made into movies.
One famous gay author of historical fiction novels is Colm Tóibín. He is known for works such as "The Master" and "Brooklyn".
