Islam is a way of life. It teaches human kind how to eat, sleep, deal with each other, how to be just. Unlike many different religions, Islam has laws in which to govern the daily life of the people, these laws were not set by a counsel of men but rather by God All Mighty(Allah). These laws are in the Qur'an which was reveled to prophet Muhammad(peace be upon him). Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) came with the same pure message that all the Prophets came with (peace be upon them).
The first revelation was reveled in cave called Cave Of Hira during the years when the Prophet (peace be upon him) use to stay in solitude.
Around year 632 AD, God revelation of Quran to Prophet Mohamed through the Angel Gabriel (Jibril) was completed. This was the year of death of the Prophet (peace upon him). Quran revelation to prophet Mohamed started in year 610 AD (when prophet Mohamed was 40 years old).
Saudi Arabia is the country having the holy cities of Makkah and Medinah. Medinah has the shrine of the Prophet of Islam, Muhammad and Makkah has the Holy Mosque. Muslims visit Madinah just to pay their respect to Prophet Muhammad. They go to Makkah for pilgrimage.
According to Muslims faith, Islam Originated from the beginning of the mankind, the first human being on earth was Adam who was the prophet of God and was Muslim. the last prophet of god was Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH) on whom the last book of Islam reveled which was Quran, its been around 1400 years ago that the final revelation of Islam reveled. its unchanged till today. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Most people would accept that the Islam faith was set out by the Prophet Muhammed during his life. The prophet said that God told him what to do and caused him to write the words of the Quran over a period of approximately 23 years beginning on 22 December 609 CE (when the prophet was 40). The Prophet Muhammad was born in about 570 CE in the Arabian city of Mecca. As stated above, the prophets teachings include the previous faiths of the people of the book, starting with the messages revealed to Adam as chronicled in the Jewish Torah, including the Christian bible and culminating in the Quran.
The Qur'an was reveled to Prophet Mohammad (piece be upon him) by Allah (God) through his angel Gabriel. It was reveled over a span of 23 years in small portions as answers to questions that arise in certain situations or commenting on incidents that use to occur in the life of Prophet Mohammad (piece be upon him). Muslims believe it is the final revelation from Allah and they also believe that it is preserved in its original form word for word. Many Muslims today memorise the Qur'an by heart and have learned it by studying under the supervision of qaries who also have learned it from other qaries who came before them. They can trace these different chains of qaries, by name, all the way back to prophet Mohammad (piece be upon him) himself.
They reveled with elucidation.
