They were made in the 1930s and there is no serial list by year. These are NOT Brownings but were made for the SEARS store by various makers, but not the Browning Arms Co. It was built on Brownings patent and made by Stevens.

Yes some of the Lightning models have a rounded pistol grip. Also maybe some of the Miroku branded shotguns. These are made by the same people that make the Japanese Brownings. They also made lots of guns for Charles Daly back in the day.
