All GM OHV truck engines continue to use timing chains. The 2.2 truck engine (not ecotec) also uses a chain.
2004
they are all using timing chains now.
I have a 2002 Odyssey and as far as I can tell up to now they are using timing belts, not chains. Timing belts need to be replaced at around 90k miles on the Odyssey. Hope this helps.

Check if you have secondary timing marks installed. Mine are bolted to the oil pan and easily accessible from the bottom. Instead of using cyl #1 for setting the timing, you will have to use #5 or #8 (to make up for the 90 degrees offset to the factory timing marks
The 1941 Chevrolet will have different features depending on what car or truck you are looking at. The cars Chevrolet was producing at time were using integrated fenders, a sleeker rounded styling and smoother shifting. The trucks were being designed to combine sleeker passenger sedans with the heavy duty panel truck.
I don't think the timing is adjustable. I drive a '98 s10 with the 2.2l, and mine has a distributorless system GM started using; it uses ignition coils, and the timing is automatically adjusted by the computer.
There is a large nut on the bottom of the trucks. Twist that clockwise using a wrench. That will tightan our trucks.
The trucks took supplies to the building site.
