The song, "That's Amore" (lyrics by Jack Brooks & music by Harry Warren) was first featured in the 1953 movie, "The Caddy", starring Dean Martin and Jerry Lewis. In his autobiography, Jerry Lewis states that when he and Dean Martin were making "The Caddy", the writers left Martin with very little to do. Jerry Lewis, without Dean Martin's knowledge, asked songwriter Harry Warren to write a hit song for Dean to sing in the movie. "That's Amore" is that song. The song received a nomination for the "Academy Award for Best Original Song" that year. Other movies that the song is featured in include, "Rear Window", "Ishtar", "Enchanted", "Grumpier Old Men", "Moonstruck", and "White Chicks". The song is also featured on DVD full-length music archive/documentary videos, including, "Dean Martin - That's Amore" (performance-driven with a bit of documentary), and "Dean Martin: The One and Only". Additionally, "That's Amore" has been featured in several television shows, including, "The Dean Martin Show", "Veronica Mars", "Friends", and "The Simpsons".
