What year did Pizarro lead a bloody battle to conquer the Incas?
Pizarro was a Spanish conquistador that came upon the Inca empire and its riches in gold. Pizarro set out to destroy the power of the Incas by kidnapping the Inca leader and killing them. The Incas had to put many other Native American tribes under their control to become an empire. With their weapons and the help of the Tribes against the Incas, Pizarro was able to crumble their empire.
Pizarro was able to conquer the Incas for many of the same reasons Cortes was able to conguer the aztecs. He had a very small, but militarily advanced army which was foreign and frightful too the Incas. In addition, the Europeans brought over those great diseases like small pox (also known as cow pox).
The Incas were a well civilized race, however they still had their downfalls. The man who conquered this fierce tribe was Pizarro. He didn't just conquer them with pure force though. Before Pizarro arrived a great civil war had occurred, leaving the Inca military weak, which made it easy for Pizarro to destroy them. Pizarro had taken Atahualpa, the Incan leader, captive. The incas bribed Pizarro with a room filled with gold for Atahualpa, however…
