Halley's Comet was named after Edmond Halley. In 1758 he first noted its periodic orbit which makes it's appearance every 76 years. It has been observed by astronomers for the last two thousand years. The last time Earth caught a glimpse of this comet was 1986.
Halley's Comet (that's easy, right?). Although it had been observed before, Halley was the first to discover that it was the same comet that returned at regular intervals, instead of a different object each time, and calculated its orbital period. There also exists a lunar crater named Halley.
the comet halley was bad and scary=-) the end
The comet now known as Halley's Comet has been observed since at least 240 BCE, but it was not known to be something that reappeared periodically. It wasn't until 1705 that English astronomer Edmond Halley determined that it was the same comet that appeared periodically.
Halley's Comet does not rotate, but perhaps you mean revolve, as in how long it takes to revolve around the sun.If that is what you mean, then the revolutionary period of Halley's Comet is about 75-76 earth years.
he flew to the moon from his own made space craft
Vega 1 and Vega 2 were the last successful Russian space missions beyond Earth's orbit. These two space probes visited Venus and Halley's Comet in the mid-1980s.
what did do in space
Halley's comet's mass (weight) is exactly 2.2×1014 (TO the power of 14)
Scientists discover things about space through observations made using telescopes and satellites, as well as through experiments conducted in space missions. They also analyze data collected from these observations and experiments to better understand the phenomena in space. Collaboration between different scientific disciplines, such as astronomy, physics, and astrophysics, also plays a crucial role in discovering new things about space.
Halley's comet was so far out in space it didn't just pass England, but the earth. And it took several weeks to do so, in November 1982.
