I worked for Sears
back in the mid 80s, like from 1984-1989 and they sold boats back then. I recall because i worked in the warehouse, they would order these in as they were purchased for the customer-they wouldn't keep them in stock. One day while unloading a truck one fell on me!
Didnt hurt bad or anything-just one of those odd things that you remember for all your life.
what year was sears roebuck model 61009 17 ft aluminum canoe manufactured

The J C Higgins model 20 pump shotgun 583 55 was actually made by Sears. Sears and Roebuck & co. owned High Standard and held all the licenses for this gun .583 means House brand exclusive Sears product. 55 is the Sears code for the year 1948
This depends on where they sell, what they sell, and how much they sell. I know people that sell American made cars that make 60-70,000 a year and I know people who sell imports that make up to 200,000 a year and forget about people that sell planes and boats, they live large...a quarter, two cookies and a pat on the back.
Sears is a major competitor, however depending on what you're shopping for and what time of year it is you should still compare the top stores for sale prices.
