The main event during the Cheyenne Frontier Days is 9 days of the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association (PRCA) Rodeo, 15 time winner of the PRCA Large Outdoor Rodeo Of The Year award. There are also two days of Championship Bull Riding.Other eventsinclude the Grand Parade, an art show and sale, a Chuck Wagon Cook Off, the free CFD pancake breakfast, various other pancake breakfasts, a carnival midway, tours through the Old Frontier Town, dancing at the Buckin'A Saloon, Timed Event Slack (barrel racing, tie down roping, steer roping, steer wrestling, and team roping), nightly concerts by various performers, an air show featuring the United States Air Force Thunderbirds Air Demonstration Squadron, tours of the rodeo arena, free acts at the CFD Amphitheater, a Challenge Rodeo, and a Cowboy Church Service.The Indian Village hosts authentic American Indian dancing, music playing, and storytelling along withNative American exhibit booths and food vendors.F.E. Warren Airbase also hosts the Fort D.A. Russell Days during the same time. They have living history camps, an 1840's mountain man rendezvous, an 1870's military camp, a cavalry rodeo/military demonstration, the Buffalo Stampede 5k/10k Run, a buffalo roast, museums, and tours of historic homes.
