65 million years ago.
If you mean an earth year, then there are 365.If you mean the time for an object in the asteroid belt to go around the sun,it could be anything between 690 days and 11.8 earth years, depending onexactly where you are between the orbits of Mars and Jupiter.
No significant asteroid will hit Earth in 2012. Asteroids hit Earth every year, most, if not all disinterate in the atmosphere. Only a few reach the surface. The 21st December 2012 myth is nothing more than a hoax.
the earth is continually bombarded by asteroid, comets and meteors you do not see them because they burn up in the upper atmosphere on impact ... there is an impact site in Mexico ... where it is believed caused the extinction of dinosaur ...
The math looks wonky because of the disparity of the numbers. There are usually two or three airplane crashes each year, but only a couple of hundred people are killed in each one.The odds of an asteroid impact are very low indeed - but if a big one does hit, it could easily kill BILLIONS of people. It could wipe out the human race, or extinguish life on the Earth completely. An asteroid or large meteor or comet or something hit northern Canada about 13,000 years ago and is believed to have caused the "Younger Dryas" mini-ice age and killed most of the humans on North America at the time. The tsunami in Indonesia killed 300,000 people five years ago. If an asteroid were to strike the Indian Ocean, the resulting tsunami could kill a hundred times as many.So it can't really be the same. However if you are in the place of were the Plane or Asteroid hits the planet then it could be the same.
This asteroid does exist, found in less than two weeks before the Spanish La Sagra Observatory astronomer, 2012 DA14 just temporary number. Has been found to connect 10 days of observation, astronomers generally determined its orbit, similar to the Earth's orbit, but the inclination is large. Therefore, most of the time, the asteroid away from Earth came away. But it does have two opportunities each year the asteroid can run very close to the distance of the Earth. Just said, year 2 chances will run to the near Earth asteroid. Last February 16 this year, when it was closest to the earth about 250 million kilometers, equivalent to the Earth-Moon distance of 6 times, partial, or very far. However, next year's February 15, 2012 DA14l indeed close to the Earth. It grazed from about 21,000 kilometers from the Earth's surface, the height of the geostationary orbit communications satellites used to broadcast television signals are low than us! Though this is really close to the Earth rub in the past, but still just "rub." In the past it does not hit the Earth. 21000 meters in astronomy scale is really close to the standards of everyday life, this distance is far enough. It is unlikely to hit the Earth in February 2012 DA14 next year.
225,000,000 years ago
Meteors CAN BE very dangerous, depending on their size; for example, we believe that an asteroid about 10 miles long collided with the Earth about 65 million years ago and killed off about 70% of all life on the planet. At that time the dominant life form on Earth were the dinosaurs, and almost all of them were killed off. (The descendants of the dinosaurs today are birds and lizards. Every time you eat a chicken, you are re-enacting the triumph of mammals over dinosaurs.) Most of the 10,000 meteors that strike the Earth each day are nothing more than pretty lights in the sky. But a boy in Germany was struck by a pea-sized meteor that hit is hand a couple of years ago, and last year a meteor crashed through a doctor's office in Virgina; nobody was injured, but it could have killed someone.
Scientist believe most if not all the dinosaurs became extinct because of sudden and extreme enviromental and ecological changes on earth. The most popular theory is that a giant comet or asteroid struck in the yucatan peninsula about 65 million year ago.
we dont even know that were there any dinosaurs because in our holy book Quran ........it has nothing about dinosaurs . so dinosaurs came just after a few animals on earth .
When the dinosaurs were killed by raining monkeys and elephants

Yes, as long as an asteroid is within visible distance of earth.
no it wont next year we will still be here so we can not be deid next year we will be in shcool so no

Yes. Asteroid impacts have been responsible for mass extinctions before; for example, al large animals on Earth were killed off when an asteroid struck the Earth about 65 million years ago. About 15 thousand years ago, an asteroid or comet probably struck northern Canada, touching off the "Younger Dryas" mini-ice age, which killed off the wooly mammoths and saber-toothed tigers among others, and probably most large animals - and humans - on North America. Another asteroid strike WILL CERTAINLY HAPPEN. We just don't know when. Just one year ago, a small asteroid struck Russia and exploded over the city of Chelyabinsk, breaking every window in town and causing thousands of injuries. Several years ago, a smaller asteroid exploded above Sumatra, causing no damage or injuries.
It was in February 2012 about a year before its close approach to Earth in February 2013.
