your Wards Western Field model 15A was made by the Mossberg and Sons firearms Company. This is the Mossberg Model 83.This shotgun was made from 1933-1946.As such there may not be any serial numbers because they were not mandatory on firearms until the year 1969 with the passing of the gun control act of 1968.
Montgomery Ward outboard motors were made by many different manufactures from 1936-1983. Evinrude, Chrysler, Iska, Clinton, and others. The K usually means it was made by Clinton, but the model should start with the letters KTV. I do not see your model # listed at all under any of the manufactures. You can look for yourself by clicking the link.
Your shotgun was made for Montgomery Wards (marked with their brand- Westernfield) by Mossberg, and is their model 550. As far as age- no way to tell. IF your shotgun does not have a serial number, it would have been made prior to 1968. <><><> Note to previous poster- Sears did not use the Westernfield brand- that belonged to Montgomery Wards. They DID use J.C. Higgins and Ted Williams as brand names.

Your Western Field model XNH-565 was made for Montgomery Wards(western field) by the Noble Firearms Company. This company was in business from 1959-1971.It was at this time that the Noble model 60-66 was made. This is the same model as your Firearm.Noble serial numbers have never been made available to the public for identification of year of manufacture. The price range of Noble made firearms runs from 75-150 dollars,as there is not much collector interest.
hello, the lever action 30-30 would be a Marlin 336 made for the Westernfield but I see you're askin about the M72. I awesternm pretty sure its the Marlin again, perhaps more closer to Marlin Glenfield. No, this is actually a version of the Mossberg Model 472 lever-action .30/30, not the Marlin. You have to remember that Montgomery Wards had a long-standing business relationship with Mossberg. Wards originally did buy lever-action rifles from Marlin, which…
That was made by Mossberg and is a version of their Model 42 rifle. Not sure how you came up with the year of manufacture. Anyway, there is some collector interest in the early Mossbergs that does cross over into the store brands. Depending on originality, options, and condition, value would range from $125 to $250. firstname.lastname@example.org
