in the whole series there is no specific year but the first edition of the book was published in 2002 so you could say the arctic incident was during 1998-2000 since Artemis's father had disappeared from the cruiser ship in Russia for 3 years until Artemis Fowl the second since Artemis 's father is Artemis Fowl the senior.
2010.
Artemis Fowl, Artemis Fowl senior, Angeline Fowl, Juliet Butler, Butler, Arno Blunt, Jon Spiro, Loafers McGuire, Mulch Diggums (Mo Digence), Spiro's secretary, Julius Root, Foaly, Holly Short, Carla Frazetti, a cryogenics doctor, some 80-year old woman (used-to-be nun) and a bunch of civilans
he did so because his mother Angeline fowl was "distraught by her son's obsession and afraid of the effects of the past two years on his mind, signed up her thirteen-year-old for treatment with the school counselor." taken from artemis fowl:arctic incident first chapter, page 6 last line. i do not own this dialogue but this is used only to answer this question and Eoin Colfer owns the dialogue
This book is about a pixie who's a baddie and she gets the help of the goblins to try and bring down LepRecon. I'm afraid I can't remember much else - haven't read it in about a year and a half... Sorry!!! Hope this helps :) Thats half the description for Arctic Incident Opal Deception is Opal Koboi trying to gain revenge on the people who stopped her from bringing down the LEP (Artemis, Holly, Root, and Foaly).
Well, honey, the copyright date for "Artemis Fowl" by Eoin Colfer is 2001. So, if you're planning on making copies and selling them out of the trunk of your car, you might want to think twice. But hey, at least you asked before getting yourself into some legal trouble, right?
Eoin Colfer said that he was going to write one last book in the Artemis Fowl series. this will be the eighth and the last book in the series. there is no title yet but it will probably be out sometime in 2012. or so I hope.
Probably anywhere from 2004-2008
Ok people misplace Arty's Birthday, his OFFICIAL BIRTHDAY is on January 9….Its official because Eoin Colfer stated it in his interview. People misplace it as Artemis's father. Artemis Was not on September 1, HIS FATHER Artemis Fowl senior (his father) was the one born on September 1….people misplace his birthday with his father because they share the same name. Also I think its stated in one of the books that Artemis's Birthday was close to new year's, so its January 9
In "Artemis Fowl," the exposition introduces us to the titular character, a 12-year-old criminal mastermind from a wealthy Irish family. The story begins with Artemis's scheme to restore his family's fortune by kidnapping a fairy, specifically a LEPrecon officer named Holly Short. This setting establishes the blend of the modern world with a hidden magical society, highlighting Artemis's intelligence and determination as he navigates this new realm. The exposition sets the stage for the ensuing conflict between Artemis and the fairy world.
Depending on the book, the rising action is all the events that lead up to the climax. For instance, in the first Artemis Fowl book, one event that would be considered rising action would be Artemis kidnapping Holly. Anything that happens from the introduction of Artemis Fowl to the final battle is considered rising action.
Basically, Artemis captures a Lower Elements Police fairy, Captain Holly Short, to hold for ransom. The LEP do everything they can to rescue their captain, but Artemis Fowl seems to know everything about the Fairy Folk because he has a copy of the Book, the fairy bible. At the last moment, Artemis releases Holly for one metric ton of gold.
Well... **** SPOILER ALERT!!! **** Artemis finds his dad. Cool, right? The beginning of the book starts with us learning that Artemis's dad is really alive. Trapped in the arctic, Artemis Fowl joins up with Holly Short and Commander Root to save him. On the fairies side of things... a Ms. Opal Koboi tries to " take over " Haven. Joined with an army of goblins ( known as Bwa Kell ) She tries to take over Haven by the goblins own deaths. She does this by being the police's main supplier of weapons. Blaming Foaly for all the mishap, She tries, but as usual... foiled! That's basically it. It has been about a year since i read it. If i forgot any thing.. feel free to add!
