The letters NZ in the serial number indicate that your Miroku made Browning was made in the year 1991.
If it was made for Browning you can tell by the serial number.
The model number should be on top of the barrel just ahead of the receiver the manufacture and model should be together.
By the specific serial number stamped into the frame.
They have date code stamps on the barrel which can be looked up on the manufacture date link on the Remington Society of America. --- Update: It's important to note that the barrel on the shotgun MAY not be the barrel that was originally on the shotgun at purchase. Check the serial number with Remington.
Basically impossilbe to tell a model number by the sn.
No way to tell from just the serial number.
I believe it was known as the "Black Shadow".
In order to answer your question correctly,I would need the maker of the shotgun, shotgun model, and type of shotgun we are talking about(pump action, single shot,semi-auto etc.) I would also need to know what type of barrel you have(plain barrel, solid matte rib,or vent rib barrel).also include the overall condition of your shotgun and amount of blueing remaining on the receiver and barrel.
