Joan was tried in the year 1431.
Her trial was held in Rouen, France.
After leading the French to victory in the Hundred Year's War in 1429, Joan of Arc was captured in 1430 by England's allies, the Burgundians. The Burgundians turned Joan over to the English, where she was put on trial that same year for heresy and witchcraft because she claimed to hear voices and have visions. On May 30, 1431, she was burned at the stake by Church authorites.
During her trial she was asked if she knew she was in God's grace, she answered: "If I am not, may God put me there; and if I am, may God so keep me."

She faced the enemy on the battlefield, was caught, put on trial, found guilty and executed by being burned at the stake. All to free France from being occupied by the English.
While she was fighting for the French, Joan of Arc was caught by their enemy; the English. The English put her on trial and charged her with being a witch. She was found guilty and burned at the stake. Soon after, the French defeated the English and won the war. A long time later, Joan of Arc was declared to be a saint by the Catholic Church.
She was different because she was only 19 years of age and they put her has the head of "The Hundred Years War" She was very young to be doing this! == ==Joan of Arc was never married.
Bishop Pierre Cauchon of Beauvais, although he technically lacked authority in the case, condemned Joan to be burned at the stake. He was a member of the Catholic clergy who supported the British.
This quote was said about Joan of Arc after she was executed "A saint is like a star, A star never dies. Neither does a saint"
She was not actually tried as a witch, but as a heretic. She was assaulted in prison (awaiting her trial) and her clothes were ripped to shreds. Rather than be vulnerable for sexual harassment, Joan put on men's clothes that were thrown to her. The English claimed that because she had chosen to dress as a man, she was going against God's word.
She was burned on a stake in a fire and was burned to death because they had captured her and put her in jail. :(
Adolf Hitler was put on trial for treason in 1924.
