Impossible to answer without a sn. MOD 336 SER 5448892
The letter M prefix found ahead of your serial number indicates that your Marlin model 336 rifle was made in the year 1955.
U is for 1961
150-350 dollars, depending on overall condition and a good bore.
A serial number would be required to identify the year of manufacture of your Marlin model 60.
between 1916-1925
I would try the marlin firearms web site for a answer to your question.PLese be sure which model marlin you have.
You do not state what model of marlin you have?I can say that if you have a model 1881,1888,1891,1892,1893,1894,or 1897 marlin with the serial number you provided it was made in the year 1900.
With the serial number that you have supplied, your Marlin(Glenfield) rifle was made in the year 1980.
1974. You take the first two numbers of the ser# and subtract from 2000.
Your Marlin model 36A in 32 special was made in the year 1947.This is determined by the letter D before your serial number.
The ser.# you gave is a higher number and is best answered by Marlin Manufacturing, so you need to contact them at their address. Unless you can find someone that has a bluebook on Ser# and corrisponding years it's hard to give a value. However the gun was made 1984 to date, and depending on how long you have had it and the condition, it is worth $225 to $265 dollars in real good condition. Most sell for $150 to $200 without a scope. But I do agree with the valuation.
