On August 6 and 9, 1945
The USA dropped two Atomic Bombs on Japan in hopes of ending the war; First on Hiroshima on August 6, 1945, and the second on August 9, 1945. Japan surrendered August 15.
It was December 8th 1941 when the US dropped the bombs on Japan.
Pilots fought valiantly as they fought off the Japanese and the Germans. They dropped bombs where needed and in the end when they dropped the two atom bombs they helped to save millions of lives. Japan and Germany surrendered after a long 5 year war in which pilots were fifty percent responsible for the victory.
Well I personally didn't do it but the United States dropped two atom bombs on Japan in 1945. There was also the Doolittle raid in 1942 using conventional bombs and several other bombing missions using conventional bombs in early 1945. All of this was retaliation for the Japanese bombing our ships and Harbor on Decemeber 7, 1941 and waging war against us and our allies after that.

The atomic bombs dropped on Hiroshima and Nagasaki in 1945 are believed to have contributed to Japan's surrender, thus potentially shortening the war in the Pacific. The devastation and casualties caused by the bombs, coupled with the Soviet Union declaring war on Japan, put immense pressure on Japan to end the conflict.
The atomic bomb was invented in 1933 by Leo Szilard, but it took the Manhattan Project (1942 to 1947) to actually build the first ones.
Japan did not invent the atom bomb. The atomic bomb was first created in the United States in the summer of 1945. The U.S. then used atomic bombs against Japan on august 6 and August 9 of that year. Japan does not have nor did it ever have nuclear weapons.
