The 2 train of the 1-2-3 line (color code red) goes to Pelham Bay Park (the Pelham Parkway Station) in the Bronx, but New Yorkers do not call it the Pelham line. That's just in the movie. Most New Yorkers just call it the 1-2-3, or the red line, or by its old names, the Broadway line, or the BMT.
The BMT/Broadway line was the second subway line in Manhattan, after the IRT (Lexington Avenue line, now called the 4-5-6, or the green line). The BMT was completed in 1920.
