1869. I just answered my own question...
There are many police academies that offer training. Police officers can go to these schools to gain training and also receive advance training on the job.
Yes police officers are allowed to chase you if you are on a motorcycle. But are not allowed to come in contact with the motorcycle .
yes
yes they could but they would have to be fit
They have police officers potrolling the building (just a guess0
there should be so kids are safe and are cared for
Schools are generally safe. There are schools that have troubles but for every school that is dangerous, there are hundreds more that are not. Many schools now have police officers at them, along with other safety features.
Yes they are police officers.
It depends on where you are and exactly what you mean. In the U.S. within any given department there are patrol officers, traffic officers, adminstrative officers, Tac team or SWAT officers, supervisors, detectives, etc. Then there are city officers, county officers, state troopers, DEA, FBI, CIA, post office police, school police (some schools use fully commissioned police officers), special ops (tact team, SWAT team, etc).
No. Auxiliary police officers are not officers of the court.
Law enforcement powers are granted by the constitutions of the individual states. If constables are granted the same powers as police officers are granted by the constitution in your state, then they can call themselves police. You would have to check the state constitution in a specific state to answer this.
There are still truant officers in school districts throughout the state of Alabama. However, Decatur City Schools no longer have truant officers in their school district. Instead they have active police officers patrolling for students skipping.
