nope not 1 so sorry:(
its very natural and healthy for a turtle to have salmonella and you cant get rid of it but you can get it but just make sure that you wash your hands after holding them
Theobald Smith discovered the bacterium Salmonella enterica in 1885.
more then 1000 people die from salmonella each year. unfortunately, its growing each day.
There is no cure. 50,000 people a year get it. You will not die from it.
That would be a good thing. Salmonella is a bacteria that causes typhoid fever and food poisoning. About 30 people a year in the US die from salmonella infection.
Typhoid fever is caused by Salmonella typhus, and is typically treated with general supportive care (fluids, nutritional support, etc.) and antibiotics.
The Center for Disease Control (CDC) estimates that there are about 378 deaths from Salmonella poisoning each year in the US; so the answer is yes.
Yes.
They can carry salmonella, yes. This is much more common among the babies than the adults, though. Even if your turtle does carry salmonella, there's no reason you can't keep it. You just need to wash your hands after handling it. You should also wash your hands before touching it, too, as turtles can get sick from germs that humans carry.
No they do not have salmonella in it only if they get contaminated then it is possible for some to have salmonella?
