Little Willie was the name of the first tank. It was a prototype that was made in the Fall of 1915 and led to the Mark I tank in the First World War.

the very first tank was made in 1915 by the British. The Tank was very valuable to stop trench warfare and to destroy boundaries in the war and to get past walls and stuff like that.
england made the first tank ever in 1915. it scared the crap out of the germans but was only 4 mph and had an ineffective cannon on it.

Misleading question. Britain first made the tank in World Was 1. Britain made tanks through out the war years.
The first tank, known as "Little Willie," was developed by the British Army and completed in 1916. It was officially demonstrated on September 6, 1916. However, it was not until later that year, during World War I, that tanks were first used in combat, with the Mark I tank being deployed on September 15, 1916.
How do you know that the tank was made in Britain and why do you need to know? BecauseI know they made it in World War 1 and for a history class. The first tank was made and used by England/Great Britain in 1915 during World War I. The tanks at that time actually had no weapons on them. They were solely used to carry soldiers where no other vehicles could go.
