I can say that your rifle was made at the end of production.The Browning trombone model rifle were only made in the total amount of 150,000 grade 1 rifles.If you contact Browning directly through the customer service dept,they should be able to date your rifle.I suspect that it was made sometime in the 1960,s.

Browning didnt make a pump with that serial number. You may have a shotgun by another brand that says "Browning's Patent", please provide more information.

The 2 letters NX in the middle of your Browning Invector pump action shotgun indicates that it was made in the year 1993.
I would like to start first with the serial number.The letters MR in the middle of the serial number indicates that your browning shotgun was made in 2007.With that said,if you have a pump shotgun then you have a browning BPS.If you have a over/under shotgun then you have a browning citori.If you have a semi-auto shotgun then you have a browning gold model.
Browning did not manufacture the gun. The gun was made by Stevens, using a Browning patent. Value is minimal, below $200.
