It can be either, depending on how well you can play it. In general, a Trombone is a bass instrument, playing in the bass clef, making it a relatively low-pitched instrument.

The same notes are used for taps on all instruments, whether trumpet, keyboards, or even flute.

If your trombone does not come with a cleaning kit, you can purchase one at your local music supply. As long as you use your kit, it should be fairly easy. If you have a music teacher, you can ask him to show you how to do it correctly. If not, there are several videos on YouTube.

Using calipers, the bore size of a trombone is determined by measuring the inside diameter of the inner slide at the bottom. You must remove the outer slide to do this measurement. Extreme care should be taken when handling the inner slide for this measurement.

The trombone has a slide that can be moved to change the pitch of notes rather than valves or keys that lengthen the tubing to change the pitch of notes like other brass instruments. And there are a lot more than 3 other brass instruments.

It will be difficult to find free sheet music for popular music, because most of it will be copyrighted... music is copyrighted until the composer has been dead for 100 years. After the composer has been dead for 100 years, the music is then considered to be in the public domain, which means it can then be used for free. So, music like Christmas carols or church hymns is in the public domain. However, if someone makes an arrangement of a public domain piece of music, that arrangement is now considered copyrighted by the arranger, and that arrangement is not in the public domain until the arranger has been dead for 100 years.

Instruments don't play in clefs--people do. In the orchestral world, we trombonists are expected to play in Treble, Alto, Tenor, & Bass clefs on a regular basis. Jazz world is mostly Treble & Bass, though occassionally I've seen Tenor there as well.

I find this website useful. It's written for piano, but I use it for my flute so it might work with trumpet. Just scroll down until you see the hyrule field music.
