http://remingtonsociety.com/rsa/questions/barrelcodes I still want to know the year Remington speedmaster model 241 serial 50393 was made and value? The ONLY way you will know is to look at the date code on the barrel and look it up in this table on this page. It should be around 1940.
The model 241 was made between 1935 and 1949. The "Speedmaster" designation was intruduced in 1936. There were approximately 7200 produced in the first year (1935). Your serial number is probably below 7200, therefore no Speedmaster will be on the receiver. You have a first year (1935) production gun
The model 241was made between 1935and 1949, but yours was made in 1937 or 1938.
check the date code stamped on the barrel, see the manufactured date link on the Remington Society of America.
Check the date code stamped on it, see related links for information on the Remington Society of America.
The Remington 241 was made from 39 to 45 so it will be date stamped on the barrel check this page on the Remington Society of America for details: http://remingtonsociety.com/rsa/questions/barrelcodes
It's too early in the model to be a 241A. Assuming you do not have a factory engraved version, you have the standard Model 241 Speedmaster. sales@countrygunsmith.net
