Anderson shelters were bomb shelters so if they broke easily they wouldn't be much help in protecting people from bombs!!
people kept safe by going to public shelters but many people built their own shelter in their back gardens, these shelters are called Anderson shelter's.
The two main shelters used during WW2 were the Anderson and the Morrison. I can't find any reference to a Stanton shelter.
