There are generally between two and five solar eclipses every year. Half or so will be partial or penumbral eclipses, and half of the rest will be annular, meaning that about one quarter of all solar eclipses are total.
In 2011, there are four partial solar eclipses. The first was on January 4; the next will be on June 10.
2017, August 21. A partial eclipse in Louisiana, visible as a total eclipse in several states including the north-east part of Tennessee.
Meteor showers occur several times each year, and there will be two or more solar eclipses every year from now through 2020.
December 17
There are generally two solar eclipses and two lunar eclipses each year. A lunar eclipse happens when the shadow of the Earth falls on the Moon. Each lunar eclipse is visible from the entire night half of the Earth, so on average you will see one lunar eclipse per year, from wherever on Earth that you live. There are also two total solar eclipses per year, but the shadow of the Moon on the Earth is much smaller. So the average person will hardly ever see a solar eclipse, unless you travel to the place where the eclipse will happen. On average, you can expect a solar eclipse to happen where you live once every 58 years. If you would like to see when the next solar eclipse will happen where you live, the link below to the Solar Eclipse Calendar will be useful. To see all solar eclipses in the world, the "World Solar Eclipse" link will give you a map.
In general, at least two to five solar eclipses happen every year. However, annular eclipses rarely happen. The latest annular solar eclipse happened in April 29, 2014.
2-5 times per year
The next total solar eclipse will be on November 13, 2012. For this eclipse it will be visible from northern Australia and the southern Pacific Ocean. The next partial eclipse however, will occur on June 1, 2011, this is the second of four partial eclipses in 2011.
"Next" is a moving target, of course. This question was posted on November 19, 2013, and the next solar eclipse will be an annular eclipse on April 29, 2014, and a partial solar eclipse on October 23, 2014. There are generally two solar eclipses per year; the last one was earlier this month, on November 3, 2013.
a solar eclipse happens about every 6000 days, way more than a year.
Usually there are one or two (more commonly two) solar eclipses every year. However, that doesn't mean the next eclipse will be visible wherever you happen to live.
In April next year
depends on what country you are in??
