Your question makes no sense. Yes a drive shaft in a car came in 1898 which was the 19th century but the first drive shaft on a motorcycle of any kind came in 1923 which is the 20th century. So no manufactures US or other had a shaft driven bike in the 19th century. The first 70 or so years that a drive shaft was offed on a motorcycle they had a horrible issue of lifting the back of the motorcycle up when under moderate to heavy acceleration. This caused a traction issue when is not a good issue to have when you only have 2 tires.
Just ran into this problem and yes you do have to buy the drive shaft. Ford only covers your vehicle for 3 years under warranty however an 2006 would not be covered anymore. Its over 1000 for a drive shaft, the alternative I'm going with is unbolting my drive shaft and taking it to a machine shop. I'll get new U joints and the bearing re worked for around 200. Once bolted back on its like new. You could also check with scrap yards and get a used drive shaft for anywhere between 200 to 300 but it could go at anytime that's why I'm going with the machine shop alternative. Hope this was helpful.
Suzuki motorcycles with shaft drive were primarily featured in models like the Suzuki GS series, particularly the GSX series, starting from the late 1970s through the 2000s. Notably, the Suzuki GS850G and GS1100G from the 1980s are well-known examples. More recent models like the Suzuki V-Strom 1000 and 650, introduced in the early 2000s, also incorporate shaft drive systems. Overall, shaft drive has been a characteristic of various Suzuki touring and sport-touring motorcycles over multiple decades.

A VTR drive shaft may not fit a VTS because the two models have different specifications and designs, which can include variations in length, diameter, and mounting points. It's essential to check compatibility with the specific models and years of the vehicles. Consulting a parts catalog or a professional mechanic can provide clarity on whether they can be interchangeably used.
