Drinking cold water after exercising has nothing to do with his/her 2 day headache, just give him/her 2 Paracetamol/Asparin and they should be fine, if it's any longer than 2 days it could possibly be a Migraine and should consult your doctor.

Are you de-hydrated ? (Low in water) try drinking some sports drinks / water. May be several other reasons too of course and if the oain persists you should go and get a check up.
