There are two types of mixtures which are heterogeneous and homogenous mixtures. An example of a homogenous mixture is a sugar solution, and a heterogeneous mixture is sand and water. A mixture is composed of two or more substances.

Solution is a type of mixture.

the substances in which the component matters lie side by side retaining their own properties are called mixtures.

Solution is a mixture of solute and solvent. Most solutions are homogeneous mixtures. Its not known to me if there is any existence of any solution which is heterogeneous.

Some facts are:

  • That colloids are not easily separated
  • A suspension is a mixture that contains particles that are large enough to be seen
  • A mixture is a combination of two or more pure substances!
