i think aveda makes the best self tanning lotion but its a bit expensive. i guess its still cheaper than tanning salon though.
The best result I ever had was from going to a salon that also did the 'rubbing in' the self tanner-it looked the best, lasted the longest, and I had the least amount of 'leakage' onto my clothes.
Jergens Natural Glow lotion or foam works really well and you get darker every time you use it and doesn't streak. The bad side is it doesn't smell that great, but no self-tanner does.
