Face value only. Until recently $100 bills didn't circulate much so they tended not to wear very quickly.

$5 is money.Unless your bill is uncirculated it's only worth face value.
It is worth 50 dollars. The "star" indicates that it was a bill issued to replace currency that was worn out or destroyed.
Bills printed in 1969 and later are only worth face value.
30-40 dollars more than the face value
a half hundred dollar bill is worth $50
At the time, it was worth one dollar.
